Screaming out loud with glee was more like it (and I don't usually behave
that way, in case anyone was wondering). I guess I'm dense, but they really
took me by surprise. LaCroix on a chat line! And I just *loved* the little
icons next to the participant's names. This was almost as good as Screed's
"Oh, great, why don't you just give the Inca me fax number and me address
on the Internet!"

>I also thought it was fitting that they let Uncle have the computer, since
>I >gather that N.B. is one of the more computer literate of the cast.

Oh, yes. When they showed his face as he typed on the portable (btw,
everybody in this show uses the same portable--had anyone else noticed?), I
imagined Nigel in LaCroix costume reading FKSPOILR and grinning while they
filmed the scene. It was great. I felt almost like they were acknowledging
us here.

Oh well, back to reality...

In the "hopes for someday" category... I remember when I was first
searching for HL's "The Gathering," then priced at $89.99 for rental
stores... and now the first two seasons are available at reasonable
prices in their extended versions! *FK's day will come.*

Well, that may very well be Anne Rice's interpretation BUT this is not so in
regard to FK Vamps. There have been 4-5 eps mentioned already that would
contradict the theory that vamps cant die. Actually there are several
differences between FK Vamps and Rice's vamps....many I'm sure have already
been debated on this list already(ie: vampire sex...) I guess there are no
rules carved in stone concerning vampires. I mean they are just fictional
beings are they not??? Subject to interpretation? They are in effect
whatever we want them to be, much like god and the devil....but thats another
list.....
I'm not saying FK is right, or Anne Rice is wrong (I'm a big fan myself) I
just think its subjective. What say you????

Hi, I'm totally new on the system as of today, but I thought I would share
some info on 'Rosebud'. Don't know if you know it, but the joke is rather
deep. Of course, the term 'rosebud' is famous because of the Citizen Kane
reference, but the term was actually used because that was (reputedly) W.R.
Hearst's nickname for Ms. Davies private parts.

Ok-here they are, in order, and its not too hard to tell what they all have
in common.....
1.A More Permanent Hell (the toga/legs clinched it)
2.Be My Valentine
3.Fathers Day
4.Sons of Belial
5.Night In Question
6.Curiouser and Curioser
7.1966
8.A Fate Worse Than Death
9.Fever
10.Killer Instinct

I think these would also fall under the "Best LC Eps" category
My fav "Music Eps" are :
1. "Sons of Belial" and "Outside the Lines"-Weird that one of the best and
one of the worst eps have something in common (IMO)-the song at The Raven
that sounds kinda like Bauhaus jazzed up a little. Wish it was on the CD but
I dont think it is.
2. The song playing in the background at the Raven in "Human Factor" when LC
and Janette are having their "talk"
Thats all I can think of at the moment :)

Actually, the differences in interpretation of vampires and various details
of existence I chalk up to different vampiric breeds. I mean, think about
it. The only common factors would be draining something, energy or blood,
and immortality, I can see variations for all the other qualities.

Alora--

There is *no such thing* as a dumb question. :) I've also had at least two
other people ask this question so, for all you newbies out there.... or you
not-so-newbies with short memories! <g>

"For A Good Cause" is a piece of fanfic I started back before War 4 (a long,
long, *long* time ago ;> ). The basic plot is that the Metro Police are
holding a fund-raiser for their scholarship fund. A date auction, to be
precise. And *all* our favorite second season characters (plus Tracy, but I
couldn't find a way to work in Vachon) are being 'auctioned off' to the
highest bidder. People on the list had a chance to send in 'bids' on the
character of their choice. If they won the bid, they got to write (or find
someone to write) the story of their 'date'.

Part one (which I will send on request) set up how everybody got roped into
participating, and what you got for your virtual money. Part two explains
what happened at the auction, and who won who. Parts 3-9 will be the actual
dates, written by the winners.

Clearer? :)

Actually, for me it was the toga dripping off the shoulder. Next best is
the velvet tunic he was wearing in Human Factor.

Please, someone tell me, is that Dark Side of the Moon? I love that song!
Does anyone with good ears have the lyrics to send to me? I caught one
line in it during HF that I really liked: "Start the masquerade without
me." (To the Fang Gang... yes, I'm going to use that in the War!)

OK, you talked me into it:

In airdate order:

First season:
1. 1966
2. Only the Lonely
3. Feeding the Beast

Second season:
4. The Fix
5. Be My Valentine
6. A More Permanent Hell
7. Curiouser and Curiouser

Third Season
8. Night in Question
9. Sons of Belial
10. Human Factor

I'm posting this here because it was on the spoiler list and it didn't
belong. Nat is bad. That is all there is to it. Why does she want Nick to be
human again? Because she wants his body, thats why! She always yells at Nick
for backsliding and then goes and does something just as stupid, but nothing
ever happens to her! She too has her bad side. Well, I think I need to get
some sleep now...

You couldn't find a way to work in Vachon? Allow me to offer some belated
assistance... I have *body parts* that I'd be happy to work Vachon into, let
alone a story [did I just totally gross everyone out? see ya on jadfe...]

Very good. The asst. listowner is proud of you. Especially since she
should have done that herself, and didn't.

>Nat is bad. That is all there is to it. Why does she want Nick to be
>human again? Because she wants his body, thats why!

'Scuse me...

Nick is the one who wants to be human. Who has searched desperately for
any possible way to become human. Are you under the misapprehension that
Nat's trying to turn him human against his will? Sorry, but that's just
not so. And there is ample evidence that the attraction between them is
VERY much mutual.

>She always yells at Nick for backsliding and then goes and does something
just as stupid,
>but nothing ever happens to her!

'Scuse me...

Nat has lost more than any other character on the show, with the possible
exception of Nick; and if you gauge it proportionately with the length of
their respective lifespans, she's endured a significant amount of trauma.
She has lost everything from friends to family members to vehicles. She's
made mistakes that nearly cost Nick his life, at least twice that I can
think of. Natalie most definitely DOES pay for her mistakes, more so
(often) than Nick does.

>She too has her bad side.

Of course she does. That was, in fact, the point of my post. Nat has a
dark side; she makes mistakes -- but that's part of who she is, ALL the
time. Not like Nick, who is sometimes Good-Nick and sometimes Bad-Nick
(hence the Knightie/Dark Knightie dichotomy). Natalie is just Natalie,
dark and light and strong and weak all in one, and doing her best to cope
with an uncertain world despite all that.

In fact, the distinguishing characteristic of a Natpacker is the ability to
recognize that capacity in her, that potential for both good and evil,
which is her greatest weakness and her greatest strength; so a dark Nattie,
being one who has taken the time to analyze Natalie to the point of
realizing her complexity, is by DEFINITION a Natpacker. QED.

Which is why I'm a Natpacker now. Not just because Sharon shanghaied me
into it. <g>
