So don't blame me if I'm just reopening old wounds so to speak. I made the mistake of posting a description, my personal opinion no less, of LaCroix. Over private email I was informed that the way I phrased it, the description could have been misconstrued to apply to the actor, who I have also been informed, is on this list. This was not my intent. I happen to have friends who can make themselves look completely different depending on who they happent o be pretending to be at the moment. I think that the actor, Nigel Bennett, is extremely skilled to portray a creature of such despicableness and to communicate the aura of pure power which is doubtless the quality which endears LaCroix to all his followers. My preference for Knight stems from this quality for I dislike that aura of LaCroix's and I cannot stand arrogance, however well deserved. I hope that this clears matters. I don't think I've heard anything quite like this before, although I am behind in reading all my lists. Here's a copy of the letter (typos are mine): Thank you for your interest in "Forever Knight." We appreciate your ongoing support of this unique program. However, the program's distributor, Columbia Television, has advised us that effective in the fall of this year Forever Knight will be seen exclusively on the USA Cable Network. KYW-TV will continue to air the series until that time. Thank you again for your thoughts. Naomi Adams Program Coordinator I can read a couple of things into this. I leave the more in depth analysis to those of you better at it. Siona@n....... Dark Knightie! Help save Forever Knight! see http://www.netaxs.com/~siona/ "Murphy was an optimist!" When a war is fought--okay, might as well just ask (*ignorance revealed, blush, squirm*)---how is a war fought--and where--on the list or FKFic??? All info welcome. What does this mean for Canadian viewers who DO NOT have access to the USA Network? Will Canadian stations (CTV/CanWest-Global/ SHOWCASE) be able to pick them up for Canadian viewers? If not, I know this will seriously annoy FK's Canadian viewers, myself included. Is there someway I or another could find out this information for me? I have concluded I'm a Christian. Are there any academics on this list who'd be willing to give me advice? And now for the OOTM: Has anyone ever considered that maybe the FK vampires (or at least the big suppliers like the Raven) freeze-dry their blood supply? This has several advantages: 1. It takes up less space than refrigerated/frozen/bottled. 2. It keeps without regrigeration (for a loooong time). 3. It can be mixed with any liquid available, and in any concentration. I assume they'd grind it to powder, to make it easier to use. Think iced tea mix, or instant coffee. 4. It can be discreetly hidden, and probably not easily identifiable by the mortal eye. 5. Maybe when taking the liquid out, the platelets can be removed to prevent clotting. 6. The nutritional value should be preserved (at least it is for other things). Now, how many of you out there are picturing "We've replaced Janette's Special Blend with new Folger's Crystals!"? :) ================================================================== Nancy McCaskey mccaskn@p....... ================================================================== Whose red beverage of choice is IBC Black Cherry Soda. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Feb 1996 14:45:30 -0500 From: Sandra Gray <TMP_HARKINS@d.......> Subject: Re: Choosing Factions Cousin Candice wrote: >Secondly, Raven/ettes would NEVER be cought DEAD clad scantily.... >well at least not in public. It's been a lot of fun. I wish you all well in your journeys, and I know we'll be seeing and hearing more good stuff from you. The show may be (un)dead for now, but who knows what the future brings. (Two-hour FK movies and merchandise, we hope!) Check in once in a while and let us know how it goes: We'll still be here. Never say die.
