Subject: NATPE promo for our show!

Hey, just because I'm no-mail, doesn't mean I can't post! <g>

I just loaded the free cd-rom the Apple people were giving away (yes, I can
run it on my IBM). It's a virtual tour of NATPE, guys, including membership
forms, a list of everyone running it, *and* a form to fill out and mail in for
a complete guide to all member stations! Wow, this could be *so* useful....

Wandering through the stuff on it, I clicked on the Tri-Star/Columbia graphic,
then on "Sneak Preview"... Guess who was featured in the *very first* promo?
Yup, our very own Forever Knight! Mega cool animated promo.... kinda heavy on
the car crashes and such, but hey, it got top billing, right? Adds credence
to the PR person's claim that they were all ready to push it big time when USA
pulled out.... especially since this is the pre-convention copy. They were
only giving the up-to-the-minute one to actual NATPE members.

Did any of you other Strike Force folks pick up one of these? They were free,
and the Apple people were perfectly happy to let me take one...

Gotta go play some more... wonder what other little surprises are hiding in
there? <g>

Remember, private e-mail me if you want me to hear you! <g>

Hi all
I just sent a one pound box of See's Candy to Paul DaCruz. He allowed me
to use his badge so that I could go to the TriStar booth at NATPE and look
around. It was soo good.

BTW, he is the contact we had to place the ad in the Electronic Media.

Appologies to the person who did the actual work in placing the ad with
Electronic Media. I didn't know how else to write the above sentence so I
decided to use the generic 'we'.

Anyway, a *** big *** thank you for a job well done. This ad made all the
difference in the world to our campaign.

I'd encourage anyone who is willing to write USA today or any media just as
a viewer of the show to go ahead & write. Not as a representative of the
"group" (sound like that's getting covered), but just as an individual who's
heard about the show's cancellation & the efforts to save it. Sort of a
"Gee, I heard Forever Knight is in danger of being cancelled and I'd like to
see some publicity about it."
Just like with the syndie stations the more grass roots & diverse the effort
seems the better. If they've already had a few (or a few dozen) lettersform
"odinary readers" then when they get an "official" press release they'll be
more likely to consider following-up.

Just an idea!

OK, folks, since I'm not going to be getting list-mail for a while, Lana
Soward (the one with the SOS-FK mailbox!) has offered to take over
maintaining the list of donors/pledgers.

So, if you find an extra few bucks sitting around, and want to help cover the

No, it didn't. There were problems getting a contract for final

exactly. Ann Moore has gone on to other projects (I know the Moore half

First, I'll just say its rather thrilling to read the reports from NAPTE. I
hope it makes a difference.
Now maybe there's someone in New York who can help me. I've got a friend in
Alabama who noticed that Airwold (starring GWD) is shown on WWORN, a supposed
NY network, every night at 7:00. The problem is, I just can't find it.
Tonight, I ran a TVQuest search of broadcast times for Airwolf in the NY city
area and sure enough, it listed the show on WWORN every night at 7:00. I've
heard of WWOR, but not WWORN! Then I checked at the TV info web site URL
that lists all national stations by the call letters and looked in NY, NJ, PA
and Connecticutt.
So does anyone know where this mysterious network is? Does anyone even know
that GWD is being broadcast nightly in another series?
Any clues or answers will be appreciated

This has happened to me twice in the past few weeks. Perhaps the load of

the second time I just put myself back on mail in a matter of minutes and
ignored the incident. Perhaps no one is changing "options" except the
system. Indigestion from so much spicy food... Has this happened to others?

Uh, sorry, but I don't think I *quite* buy this, Marci.

IMO, "levitation" cannot possibly be compared to Nick and LaCroix being able
to fly from one end of a country to the other. Even an "out-of-body"
experience doesn't mean that they're hauling their 180-pound bodies all over
the globe. If that were so, we could all do it. I could not, for example,
just pick any telekinetic in the world and tell them to go out and fly like
Nick, Vachon, or even Urs. ;-)

This brings up a point that I mentioned a few weeks ago, during the station
writing frenzy.

If you look at the station location list, you'll notice that there are large
amounts of white space in certain areas. When USA pulled it and cancelled
it, many people cried "But I can only get FK from USA. What am I going to
do NOW?"

So this is what you are going to do now....

YOU ARE GOING TO FIND THE NAME OF A LOCAL SYNDICATED STATION NEAR YOU AND
WRITE TO THEM ABOUT GETTING Forever Knight!!!!!

If all those syndicators are coming back from NATPE or even *READING*
Electronic Media, they'll KNOW about Forever Knight *AND* what devoted fans
there are out there.

Organize letter writing campaigns in your FK deprived area. Refer to the
article and the AD (Especially the ad after all we did *Pay* for that. Make
sure the people appreciate it!) in Electronic Media. Now is definitely NOT
the time to let up pressure.

So go for it!

Those of you who wrote to your syndicated station that are already showing
Forever Knight, write back. Mention the AD and the Article in Electronic
Media. I mean how can stations go wrong with fans like these (us!).

I'm afraid you've been reading "LaCroix's Ditty" again, dear <vwg>.

us bought ones for ourselves [just *try* prying it even out of

I'm finally starting to catch up on the 1000+ messages waiting

Ooooh, just tell me *no* more of the "grab-the-camera-and-dance-around-

I'll check it out immediately. (And in answer to the "sexy" discussion

I feel so out of date. I haven't logged on since just after New year, so I knew
nothing of this.
I don't know why I should have to put up with this sort of thing. Let me
say once and for all that the only relationship that I have ever had with a fan
has been in the mind of a fan. I am very conscious of my position when I go to
conventions, and I would never use this position to take advantage of anyone.
I am very happy in a real relationship with a real person. I do not wish
to be harrassed by anyone with a vivid enough imagation to create these
fantasies.
I HAVE NEVER HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH A FAN!!

My University is having a blood drive on Mon. and Tue. and I was
wondering if donating in the name of FK is possible in Nova Scotia? If
anyone knows please e-mail me. If it isn't possible I will give in the
name of a local charity (as usual).
I also noticed that I've created a monster with this whose sexier
thing. Firts comment on that is that I have only been able to see reruns
of the first season so LaCroix and Nick are about the only two I am
wembling over. Second, sorry about mixing character and actor in the
comment I was in a hurry (about to be loged (sp?) off) and I'm dyslexic
so I transposed names. Third if I had to choose between actors I would
have to cautiously choose Nigel. He has this aura of sensuality and
humour that makes my toes curl (just ask my fiance).
Next two cents, I see more chemistry between Jennette (sp?) and Nick
than Nat and Nick so I guess that gives me a new addition to my signature.

I just saw "Strings" on USA this week.

Apparently they are continuing to show new episodes, but they seem to be a week
 behind the syndies.

For those who might not know, Forever Knight now airs on USA on Tuesday nights.
I think at nine o'clock, but don't quote me.

If they just showed "Strings" that means this Tuesdays episode should be "Fever"
which is good... I can get it on tape.

Did anyone else know this?

Mr. Bennett, I just want to say (as I'm sure you'll hear from everyone
here) that I'm *really* sorry that "virgin and the vampire" cr*p got on
our list. We all all love an respect you, and yes, I agree: you should

While trying not to be obnoxious, gentle listfriends, let me take the time to
make a suggestion:

IMHO, no one, and I repeat *no one*, should be asking for a bag *unless* you
have sent money to Laurie Cohen Fenster in care of the SOSFK box. <Guilt,
guilt--- I sent mine, have you? VBG> I know this should seem elementary, but
some might forget in the post-NATPE excitement. If you don't, I think your
conscience might very well trouble you to remember that Laurie fronted nearly
$5,000 for this venture, and while she's been very gracious, the little voice
inside of her is probably whimpering, "Please, *please* don't let me wind up
having paid for the whole thing!" :)

So don't forget those checks, guys.

So...someone in Las Vegas knows me and equates me with FK? LOL!!
Well, my aunt lives there...but then, she thinks I'm totally cracked
anyways because of all my fan activities!

Of course, as soon as someone meets me they learn about two things -
FK...and Starman. Oh, okay, may as well throw Counterstrike in there
as well <bg>!!

I have to say the posts mentioning me gave me my laugh for the day, anyways!!

BTW, can anyone snail mail me a copy of the flyer? I can't access the
Web. My address: 00 Xxx Xxxxxxxxx, Xxx. 000
                         Xxxxxxx, Xxx. Xxxxxx
                         XXX XXX

Also, can anyone get me copies of the two EM issues - the one with the
ad, and the one with the article? I've looked through every magazine
store here and absolutely no one carries it! Will of course pay for
the magazines and postage. E-mail me off list.

Thanks!

Subject: FK in Playback mag

The current issue of Playback magazine (roughly the Canadian
equivalent of Variety) has a long story on FK writers Bedard and
Lalonde. It's not that interesting because the writer of the article
goes on and on comparing what happens on most U.S.-made shows as
opposed to what happens on FK (as far as the writing is concerned).
If anyone's interested I can type it out and send it to the list.
It's very long but I can snip out the dumb comments by the writer and
just put in the stuff that actually applies to FK.

BTW, there's a picture of Bedard and Lalonde, also a small one of Ger
vamped out.

I don't think it's worth getting the magazine (more like a newspaper,
actually) for the article, but if anyone wants one I can get them one.
 E-mail me off list.

The next issue, which should come out in a week and a half, should be
the Gemini issue, and should have a lot of stuff about the nominees.

please don't take this too seriously, but...
USA apparently is having second thoughts about new episodes and if they
break down and ask TriStar for more new episodes, it's going to make our
fight for a fourth season a lot easier. Proffesional, poilte pressure to
KAY KOPLOITZ and ROD PERTH will make a difference.. Today, I feel like
we're making some headway. We can't stop until we see the words "fourth
season" in black and white!

thanks from all of us on the Knight shift
