WHAT! I have to go nomail for the weekend and someone puts out info that
GWD is moving to California? Could someone please private email the
original post. Does this mean he is moving there to get more visibility
and change his career focus? and when is this event taking place?

BTW, I've been busy writing more letters now that I'm finally back near
a printer. What a terrible time to be away from all the modern conveniences.
I actually hand-wrote letters last week. I don't think I've done that
since the ..ahem.. Jurassic period.

Just want to say how impressed I am by the people on this list. You are
all great!

Subject: Off-Topic Warm Fuzzies and ObFKSOS/goDGS...

Just wanted to send a round of warm fuzzies and hugs to all those who've
been so sweet and supportive, on-list and off-list. When times are tough,
we need to stick together, and for the most part we've all been doing that
-- it's imperative: our feelings for the show and for each other are our
greatest strength, and we cannot let insignificant matters like personal
pettiness undermine that power.

Thanks for the virtual group hug (or was that, 'dogpile on Jamie'?) -- I
needed that! :)

And now, the ObFKSOS/goDGS...

So I'm going into the city, and I walk through the pelting rain, up the
steep hill, huffing and puffing with aching back and legs and smoker's
lungs, and finally I'm THERE, on top of that hill, and of course, to
celebrate, I light me a cigarette before descending into the subway. So
there I am, standing in a doorway that smells of a substance that is
decidedly NOT the lemon-fresh deodorizer they clean the subways with in
Toronto, smoking my cigarette, and I see a bus pull in -- the bus I
would've taken if I'd bothered to take the bus, the bus that's always too
slow to bother taking; and people are getting off the bus, and the bus
driver is watching them go... no, he's staring at me. Staring at ME.
Watching me. Smiling at me. Kind of a happy-go-lucky, how're-ya-doin'
kind of smile. Almost an I-know-what-you're-doing-and-more-power-to-ya
kind of smile.

I swear, the guy looked JUST like Schanke.

So either it's the strangest of coincidences (and I DO NOT believe in
coincidence) or I'm being haunted by "Schanke's Ghost"... or I'm beginning
to hallucinate, really really badly.

<And yes, I HAVE SLEPT!>

People, if we have the Power of Schanke's Ghost on our side... how can we
fail?
Pray to the Holy Souvlaki, y'all.

Dear All,
I have the # for LA Runners.. a messenger service in LA. It is (213)
465-6399. What you do is call them, give them your name and phone number..
and messenger man calls you back to give you info, etc. He asks if you have
an account, and how you heard about it. You can say a friend told you about
it :) and I heard about it while working at a film prduction company. I also
told the guy that it was just a 1 time thing, so it should be okay. It cost
me $25 to get something from Santa Fe Springs, CA (which is WTHO in the
boonies) to Culver City in one day, so if you live closer it might be
cheaper.

Problem: what building is Mr. Feltheimer? I sent my LA Runners thing to the
mailroom, because I didn't know what building he was in. I also didn't know
his phone number so they could ask what building he was in. So if you wanna
LA Runner to him or maybe even to USA (tho Xxxxx 0000 is pretty precise) you
need to know one or the other.

The full moon's coming up, and I thought that us pagans could do

This was being filmed for a scene in a 3rd season episode.

We have no problems with anything *as long as the checks are made
payable to PAF* The only time there would be a problem would be if
people were giving cash. We've said all along that we won't accept
cash and I would like to keep it that way. They are aware of what
we are doing and understand that it started on the Internet and
that it's now moving outside. I don't think they have any problems
at all as long as we're giving them a huge donation :)

June, who's going to go to the convention for one day, suggested
that we have envelopes with my box address on it ready for anyone
who would want to make a donation. It would cut down on having to
get people there to write out receipts and such. That way, we
could also just give them to people who showed an interest or
something. It's an idea, what do you guys think?

The first two episodes "in the can" are scheduled already, so we'll most likely
see them. The next 3, who knows?

> HELP!!!

I'll reiterate my offer: IF USA doesn't show those last few unaired episodes,
and IF they are sent over the satellite feed to the syndie stations--or anywhere
else--and you can't get them from a local station, then I will be willing to
make copies for you.

But write those letters NOW anyway! This week is crucial.

TekWar didn't have a separate syndication deal like FK (I don't think; someone
correct me if I'm wrong) and were totally at USA's mercy. FK DOES have that
syndie deal, so our chances of getting those episodes regardless of what USA
does are fairly good. However, pulling USA money from those last six episodes
will in effect kill their chances of being made, so WRITE USA TODAY.

                         FOREVER KNIGHT
                   The Show That Wouldn't Die

Fans of the television show "Forever Knight," a late night
program with a devoted following, find themselves hard at work
for the third time in five years, trying to keep their favorite
show on the air. As always, the odds are long, but "Forever
Knight" fans have faced long odds before. And beaten them. This
time, they are using the power of the Internet to assist them in
their efforts.

A grassroots group, The Friends of Forever Knight, has rapidly
organized to campaign for the continuation of the program.
Within a week of hearing that the program was in jeopardy, The
Friends of Forever Knight developed a number of campaign
strategies: letters are being written to the program's
producers, broadcasters, and sponsors to encourage the
continuation of the program; donations are being made in honor of
the cast and crew of the show to the Pediatric AIDS Foundation,
one of the favorite charities of the show's star, Geraint Wyn
Davies; and lottery tickets are being purchased and sent to a
number of executives at USA Network along with the slogan "a one
in a million chance", with the only request being that either the
winning monies be used for continued production of the series, or
that the money be donated to charity.

Several other strategies are also in various stages of planning
and execution, including Blood Drives in both Washington, D.C and
New York City. There is also a World Wide Web Page located at
http://members.aol.com/CuznJamieMR/SaveForeverKnight.html, which
is regularly updated to reflect new courses of action.

"Forever Knight," features Geraint Wyn-Davies as the embattled
800-year old vampire Nick Knight, who in his present existence,
fights crime in Toronto, Canada. As the show's protagonist, he
seeks to atone for sins committed in his centuries as a vampire.
Along with co-star Catherine Disher, who plays Dr. Natalie
Lambert, he searches for a cure to bring him back from the land
of the undead. Adding to the conflict is Lucien LaCroix, Nick's
vampire master, played by Nigel Bennett, who seeks control over
Nick's eternal soul. All members of the talented cast have
extensive theater backgrounds.

Subject: USA Topped All Basic Cable Network

Hey guys what gives? I read in the Washington Post that the USA Cable
Network is number one among basic cable. Here are the quotes from the paper.

USA Network topped all basic cable networks in prime time for the sixth year
in a row, while Nickelodeon moved up over TBS to become the most watched
cable network over a 24-hour period, according to A.C. Nielsen figures for
1995...

Between 8 and 11 p.m. Monday-Sunday, USA averaged a 2.3 prime-time rating
(1.5 million cable homes), followed by TNT at 2.0 (1.29 million), TBS at 2.0
(1.28 million), ESPN at 1.7 (1.09 million), Nickelodeon at 1.6 (1.03
million), Lifetime at 1.5 (905,000) and CNN at 1.2 (772,000)

If USA ratings are so good, why are they dropping FK?

But, I don't think that it's all that important or that anyone will

So far it appears that syndicated stations are definitely airing
*all* of the (five, is it?) unaired episodes. USA has scheduled airings
of two of them, and the other three are listed as to-be-announced
airdates in its most recent published schedule (which someone posted to
the list).

Hi, Everyone,

Just a reminder:

The people on the NATPE loop would like to know which local
stations have been written to -- so they'll be able go into NATPE
knowing who may have heard of the show from fans.

Please e-mail me if you have written to your local station so
I can collect this data for them!

And thank you to everyone who has sent me this information
so far.

If we win -- if those six eps get filmed and aired -- I am
joining the Perkulators. As God is my witness. I'll be the other one..

If we get next season.... I'll form a Lisa Ryder Fan Club.

Just five minutes ago I emailed off the entire press package to my contact

It's out of my hands now and into his (and yes Lisa, I corrected the

things to happen, please let's all do that tonight, okay?

Thanks for a wild ride and all the warm fuzzies I've gotten so far.
